Eddie Black is a pseudonym that has grown to be popular among the majority of the Zambian folk who are avid followers of the Hip Hop culture. His name often precedes him because of the admirable
qualities such as the formidable energy he exudes on the microphone and his ability to beautifully
contort rhymes, punchlines and metaphors effortlessly on tracks which can be attributed to it.
But that is only one side to this rap giant who has been terrorizing the Hip Hop scene for quite
sometime.

Nathaniel Edward Bangira Nchemba ( Born on the 29th of April) better known by his stage name Eddie Black 'Duke of Hazard' , is a hip hop, recording artist from Lusaka, Zambia. He began his rap career in 2011 when he met Erasto who heard him freestyle n' went on to produced his first demo songs What's the name of the game and Rock n' Rolla. Later that same year he came across an exceptionally talented producer and songwriter Peezey Cables who took him under his wing and together they launched the smash hit single 'Bangumfweko' which boasted massive national airplay, countless raving reviews from fans all over
the country and made it to the top ten national charts. Eddie was subsequently signed to Money Music Records who took a step further and published stunning visuals for his single which took the Hip Hop game by storm as it aired on every TV station across the country and was the word on everyone's lips. This alone attracted several features and collaborations with already established artists in the game who simply couldn't
avoid the buzz that this fresh new rapper had created.

And ever since then it has been one bomb after another. "I am the new phenomenon" became thee motto that Eddie Black adopted due to his quick climb to fame and also because nobody could outshine this uncommonly gifted young man. He has gone on to collaborate with other acts such as THE KICKS on a song called Sunrise to Sunset which also features Peezey Cables on the Done & Dusted Mixtape. Other tracks that he has released are ILI CHE which features Peezey Cables and the legendary Macky II, Old and Grey featuring KRYTIC AND SOLDIER, BLACK MAJIK featuring Young Majik and many other amazing songs. As co-founder of The Hip Hop For Change Movement "Zed We Can" it's always been Eddie Black's dream to not only earn, but also be able to give back to mankind. He hopes for a Zambia permeated with love, from the nation's leaders all the way down to the beggars on the streets. Also the rapper intends to use music as a grooming tool for other emcees encouraging them to gravitate towards imparting messages that positively impact the local community. Which they will then pass on to the outside world. Eddie Black acknowledges that it is a grueling pursuit, but it seems like nothing can stand in the way of this optimistic young man who has goals to be achieved as he concludes in his own words, " It will be a long journey, but we've taken the first step already by having this DREAM

I decided to start doing gospel music the day I got saved. I've been a musician for a few years now and I figured everything I do should be for the glory of the Lord. I recorded my first gospel single Nilandileni the day I got saved, I wanted to ask God to accept me and welcome me to the kingdom, it felt good doing a song for the most high. I wouldn't say I have any challenges even if I did I shall overcome through Christ  Jesus.

listen to the New song

A few weeks before I wrote this song, I told Fumbani I want to start doing Gospel Music and he was really surprised. I don't think he believed me until we got in studio. This is something that I wanted for a long time and thank God for youtube I was watching Rev Billy Graham on the morning of September 16th 2016 and I just decided I'm going to give my life to Christ. First thing I did was delete my old music from the internet, of course some songs are still on but everything I could access I deleted, it was hard letting go of 2 EP's and dozens of singles/videos but I just found myself doing it anyway. After doing that I sent a text Pastor Mpangwe Mutwale telling him the news and he was so nice welcomed me and said we should meet, he was so busy in my head I was like ''we need to meet now what if it was a hoax and I change my mind'' lol, but we did meet eventually and we talked and he got me this wonderful book that helped me through my Journey 'Destined to reign' by Joseph Prince if you JUST GOT SAVED get this book, it will help big time.
The evening of that day, it was a Friday on september 16th, I was in studio with Fumbani and I told him I wanna make a song saying I JUST GOT SAVED. In my head this was already my album title coz I was super excited, he was making the beat and I already knew what I was gonna say on it we finished the song in a hour. I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it for you. My first single off my debut album Nilandileni.
